Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the BJJ AI mobile application (the “App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
• You must be able to form a legally binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction.

2. Your Account

• You may sign in with Apple or create a local email/password account.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is irreversible.
• For local (email/password) accounts, credentials and recovery are handled on-device. If you switch devices, you must use Sign in with Apple to access a roaming account; local accounts do not roam.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

3.1 Plans

BJJ AI offers the following subscriptions, billed through Apple’s App Store via StoreKit:

• Monthly — $9.99 USD per month.
• Yearly — $59.99 USD per year, with a 3-day free trial for eligible users.

Prices are displayed in the App in your local currency where available. Apple may apply taxes per your region.

3.2 Renewal and cancellation

• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID payment method.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings on your iPhone → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, or in the App Store app.
• Cancelling stops renewal at the end of the current period; you retain access until then. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.

3.3 Free trial

• If you start a 3-day free trial, you will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid yearly plan and your Apple ID is charged the full yearly price.
• Starting a trial after a previous paid subscription may not be available; eligibility is determined by Apple.

3.4 Restore purchases

If you reinstall the App or switch devices, use “Restore purchases” in the App to re-link your active subscription to your Apple ID. Subscription status is managed by Apple and roams with your Apple ID.

3.5 Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Apple will retry per its own policy. After Apple’s retry window, your subscription lapses and premium features are locked until a successful payment is processed.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App’s source code or AI prompts.
• Abuse, overload, or disrupt the AI service, including automated scripting of coaching requests.
• Share your account credentials with others or resell access to the App.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or depicts non-consenting individuals.

We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, with no refund of the current billing period.

5. AI-Generated Content

• The App provides AI-generated coaching, video analysis, lessons, and recommendations. These are informational and educational, not professional instruction, medical advice, or a guarantee of performance.
• AI may produce inaccurate or incomplete suggestions. Always apply judgment and consult a qualified coach or instructor before acting on AI feedback.
• You are responsible for your own training and safety. Train within your limits and under appropriate supervision.

6. Your Content

• You retain ownership of the videos, notes, and profile data you provide to the App.
• You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely to provide the App’s features (analysis, coaching, sync) as described in the Privacy Policy.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any video you analyze in the App.

7. Data and iCloud

• Your training data is stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your personal iCloud account via CloudKit and iCloud Key-Value Store.
• We are not responsible for data loss caused by Apple, iCloud misconfiguration, disabling iCloud for the App, or account deletion without backup.
• Sync availability and reliability depend on your Apple ID and iCloud storage.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate or suitable for your situation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BJJ AI and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, training time, or competition results, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access at any time for cause. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity) remain in effect.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes (e.g., pricing structure, material liability shifts) will be communicated via the App or this page. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction of residence to the extent permitted, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of your jurisdiction where local consumer law requires it; otherwise, in the jurisdiction where the App is operated.
